Welcome to the Marham Parish Plan pages.

Marham is a small village in Norfolk, approximately equidistant from King's Lynn, Downham Market and Swaffham. Originally called Cherry Marham because of the numerous fruit orchards in the area. Unfortunately the orchards are now more arable land and Cherry has been dropped from the name. It is also the home of RAF Marham, one of the UK's front line defence bases which is currently host to 4 Tornado squadrons.

A link to the Marham Parish web site is provided on the Contacts page, where much more information is available about the village.

See the Purpose page for further information about the Plan.

The News page will contain the progress of the plan, and all the latest news concerning it.

We have tried to anticipate questions about the plan, and these and any other queries will appear on the FAQ pages.

Other Norfolk villages have completed the plan and some of their acheivements since completion are on the Success Story pages.

At various times, posters will appear in Marham advertising the Questionnaire or Plan. A closer look at them can be found on the Posters page. This will be updated as new posters are published.

As work on the plan progresses, these pages will provide an opportunity for the parishioners of Marham to input comments and ideas.

We understand that there are those who may be interested in how our Plan is created, and so the Code of Practice page explains the process we've adopted.

November 3rd. 2007 was our open day - Update Event at which we displayed how far we have progressed and where we are going.

RESULTS of the answers to our Questionnaires are also accessable from these pages. Read about the event on the Update Event page.

The residents of Marham provided a spectacular response to our Questionnaire. An article published in 'Proposed and Seconded', the parish Newsletter, is repeated on the Well Done page.

The documentation created in the course of producing the Plan will be made available on this site. It will be available for download and will be in PDF format. See the Documentation page.
